Resumen del Libro
Philippe Amiel presents a legal and sociological research on the right of individuals to participate in biomedical experiments. This work reconstructs the complex genealogy of the current regulatory framework, which is based on physician responsibilities and which tries to protect human subjects of experimentation from potential abuse, all this as a result of what was determined at the Nuremberg Trials. On the other hand, it shows the great necessity of a new social contract in biomedical research, one that articulates individual autonomy with equal access to the protection of their rights.
