In a French village a murder of a woman is committed. Days later, at a small café, another woman confesses as author of the crime to a police officer, and is arrested immediately. Someone interested in writing a book about this murder, interviews three people: Robert Lamy, the cafe owner, Pierre Lannes, the husband of Claire, and Claires herself, the alleged killer.
